Changing trends of cricket

Traditionally cricket is a game of fascination but mainly for fans. There is always unworthiness carrying in the minds of cricketers regarding the payments. As cricket is a game limited geographically, can’t able to bring collections that can pay high remunerations for its players. But always. India is an exception. One major out break in this context is the match fixing that involved most popular players in controversy. It is clearly evident by the above scenario that cricket loves no more to the penniless instead ready to break the norms and deceiving the fans and there by demoralizing themselves. That they never going to be gentlemen of cricket. Now, with the upsurge of IPL, trend has changed for everybody’s surprise game of cricket is paying high remunerations that the game never witnessed in the past .for a cricketer IPL is a boon that going to fulfill his greed. Minimum effort maximum money, what else anyone in world lure for easy money, quick money.there is no hesitation foe cricketers to dedicate themselves to IPL. But then comes the national interest. It is up to the players to strike balance or to weight a side.on a pendulum of individual interest versus the national interest. IPL has lured the players to an extent that some of the great players started thinking of early retirements from international cricket. That prior to IPL was an emotion. Previously no cricketer loves to retire from international cricket they use to feel glory, a real patriotism and fulfillment as a cricketer in representing his nation. But all of a sudden everyone one lost faith in morals, licking to bag bucks. By the current scenario cricket boards fallen in negotiations with their players. Unfortunately boards are trying to reticulate some basics in to their players hoping they better sacrifice their individual interests for the sake of their national interest. But it is hard to convince players in this regard that IPL is making heaven out of their skills.

Golden era of Indian cricket

I Personally feel the running times of Indian cricket as a golden era of Indian Cricket.Dating back to kapil’s era which has bought glory to the nation by winning the “world cup” But still I feel we are now in golden era.The future was bright and the young legs springing in the mid field with exuberance, Passion and ardent. These youngsters will carry the future history. They are up against challenges that they always love to accept but pleasure. They love to run in a track as fast as an aero plane, their legs spirit in air as an athlete to catch the cherry. They will pull out astonishing wins they will raise to the occasion and set standards.

BCCI – World Anti Doping Agency (WADA) code

BCCI – World Anti Doping Agency (WADA) code

The decision by the BCCI is well justified to stand by its players on the contentious “whereabouts” clause in the amended World Anti Doping Agency (WADA) code, which was implemented by the ICC from this year. The ICC’s new WADA code mandates players to inform ICC every quarter in advance a location and time that they will be available each day in the specified quarter for testing. If players are not in the location at the time specified, they will have a strike recorded against their name. Three such strikes would result in the players breaching the code and could end up facing penalties up to a 2 year ban.

The WADA, an independent anti-doping watchdog put in place by the International Olympic Committee, is firm on not to grant any sort of exemption from this code to any governing body.

The Federation of International Cricketers’ Associations (FICA), for which India is not associated with, has stated that it would relieve all other associated players from similar code obligations if ICC fails to penalize players from India, if the new anti-doping norms are not submitted on time.

If BCCI refuses to abide by the code and stands with its players concerns, the ICC have to pull out of the WADA shield, this would seriously undermine ICC’s credibility to fight for clean sport on the world sporting stage and pave way for cricket not being part of global sport events in future.

The ICC shall have to take up a dialogue with WADA & BCCI to sort out an amicable solution to this contentious issue. Though, many players from other sporting events like Soccer and Lawn Tennis have expressed their disagreement to similar clauses while adhering to this code.

In the world of completion and busy life no one can expect a sport that consumes five days. It is ridiculous to believe in it, at least for an outside who initially focus on physical aspects of the game. And rest of cricketing world, which mainly habituated of watching some ethereal games can never even think cricket.

In this context cricket needs to modify a lot to reach those people who thinks cricket as game of a madman. The first and fore most change would be the chronology. But, none could have expected years back that the game would have curtailed to 20-20 over a side, on contrary a test match consumes 450 overs.

A constant drift from a test match format to T20 has witnessed a gradual deduction of time span along with the other aspects of the game. So in order to familiarize cricket through out the globe time factor is the most important factor of the game that influenced the viewers since its birth and in the future.
